King Salmon
King Salmon ships in approximately 5LB, 10LB, or 20LB boxes of individually flash frozen and vacuum sealed fillet portions. Ordering is easy - at checkout simply choose your box and individual portion size. Our 1/2LB King Salmon portions will be between 0.45LB and 0.55LB while our 1LB King Salmon portions will be between 0.9LB and 1.1LB.
The 5LB box contains 10x approximately 1/2LB portions or 5x approximately 1LB portions.
The 10LB box contains 20x approximately 1/2LB Portions or 10x approximately 1LB portions.
The 20LB box contains 40x approximately 1/2LB portions or 20x approximately 1LB portions.
Our wild-caught King Salmon is sustainably harvested by small boat fishermen in Southeast Alaska’s hook and line fishery. Each fish is caught one at a time and hand processed by the fishermen at the time of harvest. The cleaned fish are put on ice in the fish hold shortly after harvest, then they are brought to the processing facility to be portioned, vacuum sealed, and flash frozen. If you want fresher Alaskan seafood than this, you’ll have to go catch it yourself!
Our fish are harvested by small boat fishermen operating boats that range from about 30 - 50 feet in length. The boats are almost exclusively owner operated and usually crewed by 1-3 people. Some fish alone while others fish with a spouse, children, or a hired deckhand or two. The photographs below are some of the boats that catch our fish!
